My response to DC Comics caving into the pressure by the oversensitive who created the hashtag #CHANGETHECOVER in order to pull the variant cover of the upcoming Batgirl #41. I decided to mimic Rafael Albuquerque's style to compare his with mine here: i.imgur.com/uHGpq0v.jpg
After hearing the sad news that the excellent and gripping variant of the cover was not going to be published, my reaction was "They think that was disturbing?", followed by what a great man once said, "wait'll they get a load of ME!"
Not only does this make people rethink their stance on the original, I think this is a honestly and truly represents one of the most famous and iconic supervillains in the 75 years.
Seriously, though. Did ANYONE who complained about the variant EVEN READ The Killing Joke? You know, one of the most famous and important comics that became canon in the Batman mythos? While we're at it, are they NOT familiar with THE JOKER?
I mean, WOW! It just blows my mind when I hear people complain about something like this.

I have to say that this artwork truly made an impact on me, and in a good way. I was really upset about the controversy about this cover and how it was censored, even when Albuquerque made an excellent tribute that was completely subtle about what was behind the image.
You took the next step and made it completely brutal and crude, effectively depicting in the process the Joker's true nature perfectly well, and giving a classy and artistic slap in the faces of the prudish inquisition who pressured DC to remove the cover.
Now that I think about it, the whole situation backfired against the feminazis (notice that I do not consider feminists and feminazis to be the same thing) and their hypocrisy. Yes, it is unfortunate that the original cover was removed, but at the end of the day the cover has been seen for more people over the world due to the controversy (which made it much more successful than if it had actually been published) and thanks to the whining of those prudes, masterpieces such as this one do exist and they are now living proof of how artists struggle against censorship in a world of hypocrites and absurd double standards.
For that, I do applaud your effort and your artistic piece, which definitely gets the result it intended (without a doubt) and embodies in a masterful manner, and in one single piece the nature of the characters being depicted, the protest against censorship, the tribute to the Killing Joke and the impact that comic books have today in pop culture.
Bravo, and keep up the good work!
